Nine lucky fellows attended the 6th Africa Agriculture Science Week in Accra, Ghana from 15-20 July 2013.
The Forum for Agricultural Research in Africa (FARA) brings together stakeholders from across the continent involved in agricultural development every three years, which is known as Africa Agriculture Science Week (AASW). The fellows had the opportunity to listen to plenary speeches focusing on food security from many major organisations active in Africa as well as to network with leading scientists to develop stories.
B4FA Media Fellows in attendance included journalists from four African countries: Polycarp Machira, Christopher Bendana, Sarah Natoolo, Kenan Kalagho, Kandi Mohammed, Salimat Garba, Noah Nash, Mark Boye, and Npong Balikawu Francis. They were joined by B4FA’s Dr. Claudia Canales Holzeis.
This conference is part of their year-long fellowship with B4FA which offers its fellows opportunities to attend relevant conferences and other scientific events.
